Palace is a London skate brand whose clothing moves between skatewear, technical outerwear, sports references and collaborations. Its own seasonal ranges place familiar hoodies, T-shirts and caps beside more particular projects. The useful collecting distinction is the exact garment and its context: a shared Palace name does not make two materials, seasons or partner designs interchangeable.

A skate foundation

The brand’s connection to skating is more than a clothing theme. In a 2014 collaboration film, adidas described shared team riders Chewy Cannon and Benny Fairfax and credited Lev Tanju’s art direction. That project placed London street skating at the center of the partnership. It offers a concrete reference for understanding Palace’s later expansion into other sporting wardrobes without treating each new activity as a replacement for its skate identity.

By 2020, Palace and adidas had explored football and tennis before making a golf collection of polos, tees, outerwear, accessories and shoes. The subsequent Palaste project turned to wellness and leisure clothing. Across those examples, the collaboration changes the kind of garment being made as well as its graphics. A collector can follow that sequence through the clothing itself rather than simply assemble logos from different partners.

Reading a Palace garment

Palace’s product descriptions often combine humor with a separate technical specification. Read both, but use the construction details to answer practical questions. The South2 West8 River Trek Jacket lists taped construction and an adjustable hem; the Betty Boop Varsity Jacket emphasizes a wool-blend shell and several embroidery techniques. Those specifications explain two different approaches to outerwear within the same wider label.

Licensed character artwork, partner manufacturing traditions and recurring Palace motifs provide different routes into collecting. Exact colorways matter, too. Some are alternate treatments of the same garment, while a new seasonal title can describe a substantially changed piece. Check the material, cut and official product photographs before treating a name as evidence of continuity.

Ranges and release information

Palace publishes range previews and lookbooks alongside individual collaboration announcements through its Advice section. A range previews a season’s assortment; its opening date does not prove that every garment arrived in the first week. Exact launch notes also distinguish regional online shops from physical stores.

The linked reports below separate garment identity, observed regional prices and confirmed release events. Use the official store for the current selected size and purchase conditions. Past launch information remains useful history, but does not establish a restock, a production count or continuing availability.
