David Shrigley’s I’m Fine pairs numbered price tiers with a fair-entry ticket system

Jealous ties a 125-copy screenprint to Imprint Art Fair: edition numbers set three price tiers, with online access conditional on opening-day sales.

David Shrigley’s I’m Fine is a new edition of 125 screenprints published and printed by Jealous Print Studio. The publisher’s October 20 announcement describes a 26-colour screenprint with varnish overlay on Somerset Tub Sized Satin White 410gsm paper, measuring 56 by 76 centimetres. Its launch is tied to Imprint Art Fair at Lawrence Hall in London, with a ticket allocation system that makes the purchasing process as relevant as the edition count.

Edition number determines the announced price

Jealous divides the edition into three price bands: numbers 1–40 at £950, 41–90 at £1,250 and 91–125 at £1,500. The announcement does not describe three separate image variants or three independently numbered editions. These are price tiers within the stated run of 125.

That distinction changes how a collector should read the starting price. £950 applies to the first forty numbered copies, rather than every copy offered. The final band costs £550 more than the first, an increase of about 58%. Collectors comparing offers should therefore match the quoted price to the allocated edition number. The publisher lists one shared print specification across all three bands.

A queue ticket reserves a purchasing opportunity

The publisher says the fair release opens on Thursday 29 October at 11am. Its gallery director will distribute numbered raffle tickets to people queuing at the fair’s main entrance. Each ticket corresponds to an edition number and its price tier. Although Jealous calls these raffle tickets, its stated process allocates edition numbers to the queue; it does not announce a random drawing for winners.

Ticket holders can pay at Booth 48 before the end of that day. A ticket that is not redeemed by then returns its associated edition to the selling allocation. Visitors who miss the initial queue may approach the booth for the next available edition. A place in the queue should therefore be understood alongside the deadline for returning to pay.

Online access is conditional

Jealous says remaining copies will be offered online on Friday from 12pm GMT if the edition has not sold out by the end of the fair’s opening day. That is a conditional second channel, rather than an unconditional online allocation. The publisher also says international customers cannot arrange advance sales before the online release.

The edition will not be handed over at the fair. Jealous expects dispatch or collection approximately three to four weeks after release because the print is still being finished in the studio. Buyers should separate the payment opportunity from the delivery timetable when making plans.

Orders are limited to one artwork per person under the publisher’s stated terms. The practical choice is between attending the opening-day queue with its payment deadline and waiting for a conditional online offer. A lower advertised starting price cannot be separated from the number allocation, and paying at the fair does not mean leaving with the print.
