Alife Line: a seaside scene on an 18 × 24-inch pigment edition

The 250-edition Entrada print shares materials with Feel The Heat, while its dimensions and imagery give it a distinct place among FAILE’s recent releases.

Alife Line places a woman holding a telephone receiver amid waves, gulls, a shark and bright fragments of lettering. In the studio's official image, the oversized sunglasses and saturated reds initially suggest a leisurely seaside scene, while the open jaws and choppy water make that reading unstable. That tension is a useful way into this 2026 FAILE edition: its layered appearance is delivered through archival pigment printing on a specified cotton-rag sheet. The catalogue title is Alife Line, even though the official product URL ends in holding-on. Alife Line.

A precise place among the Entrada editions

FAILE specifies an edition of 250, measuring 18 × 24 inches, printed with archival pigment ink on Entrada 290gsm cotton rag. The sheets are signed, numbered and embossed. At the 8 October 2026 check, the direct store marked the work sold out with US$215 displayed. This is the current observed listing price, not a verified original release price or a secondary-market valuation.

The closest 2026 material comparison is Feel The Heat. It uses the same stated pigment process, paper weight, edition count and signed, numbered, embossed finish, and the studio displayed the same US$215 price while sold out. Its sheet is 19 × 24 inches, however, making Alife Line one inch narrower at the same height. For someone grouping the works on a wall, that difference gives a concrete reason to plan mats and frames around the individual sheets. Shared stock and numbering do not establish a common physical format. Feel The Heat's studio specification.

The 2025 Hidden Worlds Come to Life extends that comparison. It too is a 250-edition archival pigment print on Entrada 290gsm cotton rag, but measures 24 × 28 inches and expressly specifies a deckled edge. Alife Line's text does not make that edge claim. The older work is therefore a useful example of the same process at a larger scale, while also showing why a finishing detail should be read from the particular listing rather than assumed across FAILE's pigment editions. Hidden Worlds Come to Life.

The same edition count can conceal a different process

FAILE's official 2024 Endless Summer announcement describes a ten-layer silkscreen on archival Lenox 100 paper, in a 19 × 25-inch format and an edition of 250. It shares Alife Line's edition quantity and signed, embossed, numbered finish, but changes both the printing method and the named support. The comparison matters when a seller uses a broad term such as print: a run of 250 and a familiar studio emboss are insufficient to identify pigment printing or silkscreening. Endless Summer announcement.

Alife Line's layered graphic look should likewise be separated from an unsupported claim about how this sheet was made. The official description establishes pigment ink; it does not describe hand-applied silkscreen layers on each example. This allows the composition to be discussed on its own terms. The receiver connects the figure to an unseen conversation, while the surrounding water and shark interrupt the suggestion of comfort. The floating bottle at the lower edge adds another image of communication. These are readings of visible elements in the studio photograph, not an artist-authored explanation of the title.

The product dates the artwork to 2026, but the sources inspected here do not give an explicit public launch announcement for Alife Line. Its current sold-out listing is sufficient to establish the status of the direct offer when checked. For identifying another example, retain the exact title, 18 × 24-inch size, Entrada support and 250-edition specification together; the legacy URL and a generic description of colourful FAILE imagery leave too much unresolved.
