Mad For You: numbered FAILE cubes on a steel base
The 2026 sculpture, from an edition of 14, has selectable stock at Underdogs and a separate sold-out companion, Lucky Heat Wave.
RELEASE RADAR HQMad For You is one of the two limited-edition sculptures Underdogs developed for FAILE’s 2026 Something To Believe In exhibition. The work consists of silkscreened wooden cubes on a white steel base, measures 26 × 12 × 12 cm, and is signed and numbered by the artists in an edition of 14. At the 8 October 2026 check, the publisher listed it at €1,200 with selected numbers available. Mad For You.
Number choice is inventory, not a new edition
The product offers numbered selections from 1 to 14. Numbers 6 through 10, 12 and 13 were available in the checked seller record; the other selections were unavailable. Those choices represent examples within the documented run; they are not fourteen different edition designs. The exact number selected may matter to a buyer’s preference and purchase record, but it does not by itself establish a different material or design.
Lucky Heat Wave is the second named exhibition edition. It shares the wooden-cube construction, steel base, 26 × 12 × 12 cm dimensions and 14-piece run, but has its own title and edition identity. Its listed price is also €1,200, while the observed stock was sold out. The pair is therefore useful to compare directly without implying that availability of Mad For You extends to its companion. Lucky Heat Wave.
Blocks appear in other forms
FAILE’s 2025 Summer Block Party contains eight two-inch wooden cubes per boxed set, in an edition of 125. It combines hand-painting, acrylic, silkscreen ink and spray paint, with a numbered and embossed certificate. The artists describe working across the sides, rotating and recombining images. Mad For You’s stated construction instead includes a steel base and a vertical sculptural footprint. The shared medium creates a catalogue relationship, but not an interchangeable object or an assumption that the sculpture can be rearranged in the same way. Summer Block Party.
The publisher’s pictured example 6 makes the three-dimensional construction consequential. A horse, tiger and human figures share the cube faces with the phrases “Mad Mad” and “Stories for you.” Viewed across a corner, the fragments form adjacent readings rather than one uninterrupted frontal image. Moving around the object changes which faces can be read together. That is a different viewing proposition from Summer Block Party’s separately handled cubes, without implying that Mad For You’s stack itself rotates or comes apart. The photographed arrangement identifies this example; it should not substitute for photographs of another numbered sculpture.
For someone choosing a display location, the published depth and steel support are more useful than the generic word “blocks.” The seller has not established an overall weight or mounting requirement in the inspected specification, so neither should be estimated from photographs. Retain the number, title, 2026 year and publisher invoice together. Shipping costs and destination taxes need the seller’s current terms; the €1,200 listing alone is not a worldwide delivered quote. The work is dated 2026, but the product description does not provide an exact original launch time.
