Panini Obsidian Football 2026 FOTL: seven cards and exclusive content

The attraction of 2026 Obsidian Football First Off the Line is the content reserved for this configuration. Panini identifies an FOTL patch autograph and an FOTL parallel within a single seven-card pack. That gives a collector a concrete reason to compare the exclusive box with standard Hobby: the decision turns on the particular cards available through the format, rather than simply receiving a box earlier.

This is SKU 2-20084-12, with the First Off the Line mark visible on the official packaging. The exact product page emphasizes collegiate players and retired greats, alongside Obsidian’s dark Opti-Chrome appearance. Check the eventual player list and uniforms against your collecting interests; the general word Football should not be read as a promise of a particular professional-team license or roster.

Compare the slots, not just the box name

The product page describes, per box on average, an FOTL patch autograph, an FOTL parallel, another autograph, two memorabilia cards, one insert or insert parallel and one base card or base parallel. Those categories total seven. A patch autograph is already an autograph-and-material card; it should not be counted twice when comparing the advertised contents.

Panini’s October 7 overview presents the ordinary Hobby box with two base or base-parallel slots and describes the FOTL additions. Its FOTL list is inconsistent with the seven-card total when read as fully additive. The specific store listing provides the seven-card breakdown above; buyers should check the final product description before assuming an extra eighth card.

The distinction has a practical consequence. If your goal is a particular FOTL parallel, the exclusive configuration matters. If your main interest is the broader Obsidian autograph roster or the dark design, compare the standard Hobby offer as well. The additional format label does not prove that the resulting player selection will suit your collection better.

The auction requires a price decision

Panini describes a Dutch auction with an account required and price reductions every five minutes until the product sells out. That creates a different buying decision from a fixed-price offer: waiting may lower the asking price, while availability can end first. Decide what the exclusive content is worth to you before the sale rather than treating the opening price as a statement of card value.

As of October 9 UTC, the product page left the opening time and price to be determined, while the Coming Soon card displayed a $750 starting figure. That inconsistency makes a firm launch-price claim premature. The page also states a twelve-box transaction limit and final sales; neither detail guarantees inventory when you arrive.

Deep Sea Mojo, Lava Flow and Neon are the named FOTL parallels to investigate when the full checklist is available. No exact odds or resale return are established here. The useful comparison is the exclusive content you want, the seven-card format you are actually buying, and the price available at the moment of purchase.
