Vhils’s Latent at Baró Galeria in Mallorca puts three materially different groups of 2026 works into the same conversation: carved advertising posters, tile panels and engraved fragments of demolished buildings. The exhibition runs from September 19, 2026, to March 15, 2027. Baró’s exhibition account relates its title to the reflected rose-window image that appears inside Palma Cathedral. The connection is an idea of revelation: a surface can disclose an image through what light or removal brings forward. For a collector, the sharper distinction is what remains after that process. A shallow-looking image in a photograph may belong to paper layers, ceramic tiles or a substantial architectural fragment.

Estrato is a three-dimensional comparison

The three documented Estrato works are laser-engraved fragments from demolished buildings. Baró identifies the materials as brick, plaster, concrete and paint, and supplies three-dimensional measurements. Estrato Series #01 is 37 × 31 × 30 cm; #02 is 29 × 27 × 13 cm; #03 is 23 × 48 × 14.5 cm. That third measurement makes a practical difference. Number 01 extends much farther in depth than number 02, while number 03 has the broadest listed width. They cannot be compared adequately by the area of the face alone. Their irregular edges and exposed building material are visible in the official object photographs, but a photograph does not establish stability, weight or the requirements of a support. Those remain specific questions for the individual sculpture.

The poster works span a wide range of scale

Ars Magna, Density Series #18 and Cal all use hand-carved advertising posters, yet they make quite different spatial demands. Ars Magna is 134 × 93 cm and Density Series #18 is 177 × 123 cm. Cal reaches 180 × 380 cm: its width is more than three times that of Density Series #18, although their listed heights are close. This is not a minor size option within an edition. These are separately titled works with different compositions and dimensions. Baró’s photographs also show why the paper support deserves precise description: the carved, layered edges are part of the object, not simply a reproduced image inside a standard sheet format.

Refract belongs to the ceramic group

The 2026 Refract #06 is described as glazed embossed tiles and measures 143 × 100 cm. Its grid and relief-bearing surface distinguish it from the cut poster layers even though both carry portrait imagery. Baró also illustrates Reflex Series #03, an embossed glazed ceramic work dated 2025. It is relevant to the exhibition’s mixture of ongoing series, but it is not included among the 2026 works below. The similar titles should not obscure the different series, years and dimensions. Nor does a shared tile medium establish that one work is an edition or replacement version of the other.

Two earlier Mallorca fair works

Baró’s Art Cologne Palma Mallorca presentation, dated April 9–12, identifies two other 2026 poster works: Density series #08, at 183 × 126 cm, and Iris Series #07, at 100 × 71 cm. These belong to the fair’s documented selection, rather than the seven-work Latent checklist. Density #08 is close in scale to Latent’s #18, while Iris is smaller than Ars Magna. Those relationships give a more precise comparison than a series name or a cropped image alone. Baró’s Artsy entries describe Density #08 and Iris #07 as unique, hand-signed works with a gallery-issued certificate and no frame included. At the October 8 check, Density was marked sold and Iris had a price-on-request enquiry route. Neither listing establishes the original sale date or a numeric launch price.

Exhibition history is not a sale timetable

The seven 2026 works on Baró’s public Latent checklist have individual enquiry routes. No public numeric prices or first sale dates were provided in the checked entries. Their presence in a current exhibition therefore should not be read as a timed release or a statement that every object is available. The gallery text discusses additional bodies of work, including doors, but the seven entries below are the 2026 objects individually identified on this public checklist. No unlisted door is reconstructed from the broader description. Signature, certificate, delivery and installation terms also need confirmation for the exact work rather than inference from a related Vhils edition.
