Galleri A’s The A-Team Selection Xmas 2025 opened in Oslo on December 18, 2025, and continued through January 18, 2026. The seasonal group exhibition paired Martin Whatson’s individual canvas Parachuter with Urban Climber – Red, a paper collaboration with Eric Ness Christiansen. An opening reception took place at 6 p.m. on December 18. These are two distinct contributions to a much wider gallery selection, not a solo exhibition or a January edition launch. Galleri A’s exhibition and illustrated checklist
A canvas and a collaboration
Parachuter measures 100 × 100 cm and combines stencil, acrylic and spray paint on canvas. The gallery’s expanded image caption dates it to 2025 and identifies the displayed work as 1/3. That number is a meaningful distinction from the small-format Parachute canvas in Vertical Gallery’s following-year anniversary selection: a shared motif or similar title does not establish the same object. The Oslo canvas’s dimensions, date and gallery designation are the useful identification points.
Urban Climber – Red is jointly attributed to Whatson and Christiansen. Its 115 × 85 cm paper support carries stencil and spray paint, and the expanded caption also dates it to 2025. The joint attribution should stay with the object when discussing its imagery or exhibition history. The paper work is neither another impression of Parachuter nor a canvas by Whatson alone. No edition denominator is supplied for the collaboration in this checklist.
Stencil work within a mixed selection
SNIK’s Midas supplies a third, differently scaled stencil-based reference: 160 × 130 cm, with hand-cut stencil and spray paint on canvas. Across these entries, the technique does not dictate a single support or size. The comparison moves from Whatson’s square canvas to the collaboration’s vertical paper rectangle and then to SNIK’s substantially larger canvas. Those physical differences give collectors a clearer account of the selection than grouping all three under a broad street-art label.
Other checklist entries widen the material conversation. Jørgen Platou Willumsen’s Skogshorn is a 51 × 41 cm monotype, while Natalia Mikkola’s Torekov is a 165 × 110 cm chromogenic print mounted on acrylic glass. The show brings differently made and presented images together; it does not announce that every object shares one edition structure.
For Whatson’s chronology, this is a presentation of documented 2025 works that remained on view into 2026. Its strongest collecting value lies in the identifiable objects and preserved collaborative credit. The exhibition dates establish when the works were shown, while their captions establish what they were; neither alone records the works’ first sale.
