Add Fuel’s AZ562: the coffee-making story inside a 100-piece tile edition
Delta’s edition of 100 turns coffee-making and Campo Maior flowers into a tile pattern; exact first-sale date and current price remain unconfirmed.
RELEASE RADAR HQAZ562 (SABER E SABOR) is Add Fuel’s ceramic edition for Delta Coffee House Experience, developed alongside the brand’s third Wonder Coffee collaboration in 2026. Delta’s own magazine records an edition of 100 tiles. The original sales routes were its physical coffee houses and online shop; current tile stock and a current primary asking price have not been established. D de Delta
A pattern with a beginning and an end
The collaboration gave Diogo Machado a specific narrative to work into the ornament. In an interview with Notícias ao Minuto, he describes reading the composition from the centre outward and back again: coffee beans lead to the triangle associated with Delta, then to liquid and a coffee cup. The pattern carries a sequence of transformations, even though that sequence becomes apparent only with sustained attention. Artist interview
That explanation distinguishes AZ562 from an anonymous application of blue-and-white decoration. The artist researched Delta’s visual vocabulary and made the coffee process part of the pattern itself. For someone comparing related Add Fuel ceramics, the company triangle and the coffee imagery are useful identifiers of this particular collaboration, alongside the full AZ562 title.
The flowers have an equally specific origin. Machado identifies malmequer and pampilho as flowers used in the celebrations of Campo Maior, Delta’s place of origin. His interview connects those forms to his research rather than leaving them as generic ornament. The edition therefore joins a product narrative to a regional reference: both belong to the composition, and neither needs to be inferred from the colour alone. Artist interview
A ceramic edition and a related drink
Delta describes two outcomes of the partnership. One is the numbered ceramic object; the other is Out of the Blue Latte, a layered drink finished with a stencilled variation of the tile motif. The 100-piece count belongs to the ceramic edition. The beverage supplies context for the imagery, but it does not enlarge that numbered run. D de Delta
A useful comparison is Add Fuel’s earlier The Answer project, which the artist explicitly documented as a double edition in ceramic and screenprint. Its AZ500 ceramic version had 75 regular examples and seven artist’s proofs. AZ562’s inspected sources establish 100 tiles but do not document an accompanying paper edition or a separate proof allocation. A matching motif on another promotional object should therefore be identified by its own support and edition terms before it is treated as a sibling collectible. Artist’s edition archive
What the release record establishes
Marketeer reported the collaboration’s presentation on March 12, 2026 and said the tile was already available through Delta’s stores and online shop. That supports availability by that date, rather than an exact first-sale time. Its report also specifies a limited, numbered edition. Buyers seeking a remaining example should confirm the present offer directly with Delta and match the full title; the historical announcement alone does not establish October stock.
