Bad Bunny’s BadBo 1.0 Beige and Black: a signature model in contrast

The $160 Beige/Black BadBo 1.0 launched March 28, 2026, retaining nubuck, hairy suede and the signature star introduced with the model.

The Beige and Black BadBo 1.0 continues Bad Bunny’s first signature adidas silhouette with a more contrasted palette. adidas’s official announcement set the release for March 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern, through CONFIRMED, adidas’s Bad Bunny destination and selected retailers worldwide. The announced price was $160; CONFIRMED signups opened March 24.

The specification retains nubuck and hairy teasel suede uppers, an EVA midsole and a translucent rubber outsole. In the official rear photograph, the light heel panels sit below a dark collar and tongue, while the signature star remains clearly visible at the back. The image makes the color blocking easy to read, but it does not establish how the suede ages or how the shoe feels underfoot.

What changes from the white release

The White BadBo 1.0 launched globally on February 9, 2026, also at $160, with the same stated core materials and sole construction. The Beige/Black release therefore offers a change of visual emphasis within the signature model, rather than a documented technical update. For a collector who already owns the white edition, the decision is about the contrast and presentation of a familiar silhouette; there is no supported performance upgrade to weigh from these announcements alone.

The star is part of that continuing identity. adidas connects the logo to the Puerto Rican flag and Bad Bunny’s roots. Its position on the light heel panel gives it a clear role in the rear view, while the darker upper sections make this edition look less uniformly pale than the February release. That is a visual interpretation of the official image, separate from the manufacturer’s description of the symbol’s meaning.

The more consequential comparison is with Bad Bunny’s earlier Gazelle Indoor. That collaboration reworked an established adidas model through a double tongue, a flipped T-toe and an exterior size label. BadBo is presented as his first signature silhouette, so collecting it follows a model created around the partnership rather than another reinterpretation of the Gazelle. The distinction helps explain why the model name should come before the artist’s name when sorting listings.

His 2025 Ballerina offers another point of reference. That shoe drew on adidas Taekwondo, using a streamlined form and bungee-cord laces, with an announced $120 debut price. BadBo’s layered upper and more substantial appearance address a different styling preference, while its $160 launch price places the two in different original price brackets. Neither comparison is a resale valuation.

The March date is historical, and a later available pair may be a continuing offer rather than a fresh release. Confirm the Beige/Black edition, size, condition and seller’s current price separately from the original announcement. Follow adidas releases.
