Applications for Damien Hirst and Eminem’s signed H21-1A close October 19, 2026 at 5 p.m. BST through HENI. The price is US $5,000; payment follows allocation. This 94.5 cm-square UV giclée on aluminum composite is an edition of 60 plus 15 artist’s proofs, signed by both artists on the label.

H21-1B is the separate 31.5 cm-square unsigned version: US $450, numbered, available to purchase immediately, with edition size limited by demand. American Dream contains twelve subjects in both formats. See the Damien Hirst release index for the full subject list and format distinction.

Collector context

The Slim Shady LP H21-1A is part of American Dream, Damien Hirst and Eminem’s 2026 project built around Hirst’s reinterpretations of Eminem’s twelve-album discography. The useful collector distinction is not simply the image: HENI created two physical formats for every subject. H21-1A is the larger signed limited edition, while H21-1B uses the same album subject in a much smaller unsigned format with a demand-limited edition.

The project also extends a recurring Hirst strategy: familiar cultural imagery is passed through one of his established painting systems, then translated again into edition technology. Here the album-cover source is tied to the broader American Dream group rather than issued as a standalone print. HENI’s series index contains 24 edition records—twelve subjects in two formats—so H21-1A belongs to a structured set rather than a one-off collaboration.

Scale changes the collecting decision

The signed format is three times as wide as the unsigned format and occupies nine times the face area, calculated from HENI’s published dimensions. That difference affects how the album image reads in a room and how several subjects could be displayed together. Collecting twelve small works and collecting twelve large works are substantially different space commitments, even before comparing prices.

The two purchase mechanisms also answer different needs. An application for H21-1A is a request for allocation, while the B format offers direct access during its purchase period. Neither the smaller edition’s demand-based structure nor the signed edition’s fixed count establishes future resale performance. For a collector building the album sequence, consistent format, signature status and the exact subject code are the useful organizing choices.
