New Balance 1300 U1300SS: seasonal suede, Sea Salt and Angora

The September 10 US release is Fall/Winter 2026’s Drop Two 1300, distinct from the five-year 1300JP reissue. Two official color names refer to the same style.

New Balance’s U1300SS launched in the United States on September 10, 2026, according to the brand’s US release calendar. It is the Drop Two 1300 from the Fall/Winter 2026 Made in USA collection: a pale mesh-and-embossed-suede treatment accented with Blue Oyster and Mulled Wine. The original launch hour and retail price are unconfirmed.

Sea Salt and Angora describe one U1300SS

The seasonal announcement names the base color Sea Salt. The US product page calls it Angora. Blue Oyster, Mulled Wine and U1300SS agree across both sources. Those labels describe one documented style, rather than evidence of a second pale edition.

The collection opens with a 990v4 and 993, then moves to this 1300 before two nubuck 990v4 treatments in Drop Three. September 3 is the program’s opening date; September 10 is the calendar date attached to this exact US shoe. Collecting by release phase therefore requires individual dates, rather than giving all nine seasonal footwear styles the first opening.

Seasonal 1300 versus the 1300JP

The model number connects U1300SS to a longer-running silhouette, but it does not make this shoe the quinquennial JP edition. New Balance’s 2025 1300JP announcement describes a reissue tradition beginning in 1995 and recurring every five years. That release arrived in May 2025 with a suggested $330 price and a documented Skowhegan, Maine production story.

U1300SS instead belongs to a seven-phase seasonal program extending from September to December 2026. Its collecting proposition is the specific color and material execution within that assortment. A collection following JP reissues and one exploring seasonal 1300 treatments are pursuing different sequences; neither the shared number nor the Made in USA label collapses them into the same edition.

Embossed pig suede changes the material comparison

The U1300SS listing specifies mesh, embossed pig suede and synthetic overlays, with an NDurance rubber outsole. The pig-leather disclosure matters for anyone excluding that material. Later footwear phases include nubuck 990v4s and a 992 mixing pig suede, nubuck, basketball leather and mesh. The seasonal lineup is a set of different surface combinations, rather than one construction repeated across every numbered model.

New Balance lists heel-and-forefoot ABZORB cushioning, an ENCAP/C-CAP midsole combination and reflective accents for U1300SS. These describe the manufacturer’s construction; no comparative fit or comfort result is established here.

The US listing uses paired men’s and women’s labels, M4/W5.5 through M15/W16.5, in Standard D width. That range is specific to the listed style. The original release is past; consult the official U1300SS offer for current purchasing terms.
