Launch: October 13, 2026 at 10:00 ET — Nike SNKRS US (US). 125 USD. Official release page.

Style IQ6827-200 brings Ale Brown suede to Paul Rodriguez’s first Nike SB signature model. The Zoom Air Low keeps the cupsole construction and impact-cushioning plate associated with the 2005 design.

This is the US $125 SNKRS release on October 13, with an official 10 a.m. EDT opening. It is separate from other P-Rod retro colorways.

Collector context

Paul Rodriguez’s first Nike SB signature design gets an almost uninterrupted brown treatment for its October return. Ale Brown runs from the suede upper through the laces and sole, making the changes in surface texture do most of the visual work. The patterned heel and textured Swoosh keep the shoe from reading as a plain monochrome low-top.

Nike traces the design to Rodriguez’s 2005 original. This version retains a rounded toe and cupsole construction, with an impact-cushioning plate and a black-and-red chain-link sockliner. Those details connect the understated exterior to the model’s skateboarding identity. Nike’s description of its board feel is a manufacturer claim; this is a release preview, not a wear test.

The model matters more than the retro label

The appeal for a Nike SB collector is the return to Rodriguez’s first signature design. A debut model records the beginning of the athlete’s footwear line; a later colorway revisits that design without necessarily recreating an original launch treatment. Nike identifies Ale Brown as this release’s color, so it should not be described as an exact 2005 colorway reissue without evidence tying that palette to the earlier shoe.

The cupsole and cushioning plate are the substantive construction points beneath the understated exterior. They distinguish this model from a generic suede skate shoe, while the rounded forefoot and chain-link sockliner retain its particular design vocabulary. The tonal brown treatment lets those recognizable details carry the identity instead of relying on a large new collaboration graphic.

For someone building a P-Rod archive, the useful comparison is between model generation, material and colorway—not simply between pairs bearing Rodriguez’s name. The October release adds an Ale Brown interpretation to that first-model story. It does not establish changes in durability or board feel relative to an original pair; those questions require an actual comparison of the shoes.
