Monarchy Mash-Up is one of the two subjects in D*Face’s first Punk Press release, alongside Royal Fail. Both artist-store listings were sold out on 6 October 2026. Each lists £150 and is a three-colour, hand-pulled silkscreen on grey, matt 240 gsm Olin Colours paper, measuring 84.10×59.40 cm. The artist lists 200 impressions of each subject, individually numbered and blind stamped. Monarchy Mash-Up, Royal Fail.

A deliberately different production format

The studio positions Punk Press as a return to a simpler screenprinting approach: fewer colours, lighter paper and a lower price than its more elaborate editions. That is a stated production choice, rather than a claim that every print with a smaller colour count has the same purpose or cost structure.

Heartbreak Highway offers a concrete recent comparison. Published by Underdogs in 2026, it uses 29 colours on 370 gsm Lambeth paper, measures 70×100 cm and has 60 regular impressions plus 12 APs. Monarchy Mash-Up’s three colours and 240 gsm stock therefore identify a genuinely different print specification. The twenty-six-colour difference and heavier Lambeth stock explain what the studio has simplified; neither change alone ranks the quality of the images. Heartbreak Highway.

Two subjects, two edition records

Royal Fail is not a colour option inside Monarchy Mash-Up’s 200. It has its own title, product page and 200-impression allocation. The purchase limit was one of each print per customer, allowing the pair to be bought while limiting duplicates. A buyer of Monarchy Mash-Up received the King subject only; Royal Fail was a second purchase, rather than an included companion sheet.

Their shared authentication wording also deserves precision. Both pages specify numbering and a blind stamp but do not say that the sheets are hand signed. That differs from Heartbreak Highway’s explicit signed-and-numbered description. A collector should not add “signed” to a Punk Press listing merely because many earlier D*Face editions carried an autograph. An impression carrying only the documented number and blind stamp is consistent with the published specification.

The studio states that Punk Press prints are wrapped and rolled in tissue paper and shipped in a 3 mm poster tube. It aims to ship before the end of October and does not offer local collection. Shipping charges are separate, from £14.95 within the UK to £35.50 for the rest-of-world category, with customs and import fees assigned to the buyer. The inspected page does not state the year alongside that dispatch goal or a confirmed original launch day, so neither is supplied as a precise new event here.

The £150 listed price is for one unframed subject. Royal Fail’s matching price and size make a two-print display possible, but the studio does not promise matched edition numbers or a boxed set.
