Analogue 3D Prototype: five finishes, matching packages and different stock signals

The February 2026 family shares one platform; Glacier and Atomic Purple show cart access while three finishes are marked sold out.

Analogue’s Prototype Limited Editions put five named finishes on the same 3D cartridge console: Ghost, Glacier, Atomic Purple, Extreme Green and Ocean. The important comparison is between edition packages and their current offers, rather than five different levels of hardware. Analogue’s dated February 6, 2026 announcement set the sale opening for February 9 at 8 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and described dispatch within 24–48 hours. That buying window has passed.

Five finishes, uneven availability

The official store lists all five at $299.99. At the October 8, 2026 evening check, the exact Glacier and Atomic Purple pages displayed Add to Cart, while Ghost, Extreme Green and Ocean displayed Sold Out. These are public storefront observations, not a completed checkout or proof of delivery eligibility in every country. The displayed two-per-order limit on the inspected sibling offers is a purchase rule; it does not disclose the production quantity.

Ghost illustrates why the presentation page alone is insufficient for availability. Its edition landing page still says Available Now, but its exact store offer says Sold Out. The product-specific offer is the more useful purchasing signal. A stock-notification form on a sold-out finish supplies no dated restock promise, so it should not be treated as another release.

The matching parts belong to the edition

Each inspected sibling listing names its own console finish alongside a matching 16GB SD card, HDMI cable, USB cable and USB-C power supply. Glacier’s pale blue treatment and Ocean’s stronger blue therefore identify complete coordinated packages, not merely interchangeable labels on a standard console. The exact store SKUs are A3D-C14-LE for Glacier, A3D-C11-LE for Atomic Purple, A3D-C12-LE for Extreme Green and A3D-C13-LE for Ocean. Ghost uses A3D-C15-LE.

Compared with a used console accompanied by generic replacement cables, an intact edition package preserves more of the manufacturer’s documented presentation. For a collector checking completeness, the named finish of those smaller components matters as well as the system enclosure. No numbered allocation, finish-specific production total or extra performance feature is stated in the inspected offers.

Separate the console from the controller

Analogue advertises coordinated 8BitDo controllers, but the console box lists no controller. Buying the $299.99 system consequently differs from acquiring the entire matching console-and-controller setup. Existing original-style N64 controls may serve another buyer’s needs; the console has four original-style controller ports. Partner controllers remain separate purchases with their own offer identities.

The underlying 3D platform supports original N64 cartridges and HDMI output, with compatibility and performance claims attributed to Analogue. It does not support Pocket’s openFPGA platform. Choosing a Prototype finish therefore changes the collecting presentation, not the platform’s software scope. Unlike an original Nintendo development prototype, this is newly manufactured Analogue hardware inspired by the colors described in the company’s announcement; the design reference supplies no provenance for a historical Nintendo object.

The existing Ghost report covers that finish in more detail. The four additional entries below preserve the other exact packages and their photographs without repeating the same platform explanation four times.
