Swoon editions: studio prints, varied works and gallery routes

Find Swoon’s current studio and publisher offers, and distinguish recurring portraits, hand-modified variants and Sibylant Sisters cards from separate art prints.

The Swoon studio shop lists Subway Windows at US $325 and the round Edline and Shadow Puppet at $725, both with ordering available when checked on 6 October 2026. Heliotrope separately offers the signed Nee Nee print at $200. For larger works, the studio’s current inventory uses price-on-request enquiries. These are existing primary offers; no new dated release window is confirmed in the sources reviewed.

Portrait titles travel between supports

Subway Windows illustrates why the work’s title needs a year and medium. The studio’s 2024 version is an 8.5 × 11-inch archival pigment print, edition of 45. Underdogs’ 2020 variants 16/20 and 19/20 instead combine screenprinting and hand-painted gouache with found objects. Wood, glass or metal and several centimetres of depth belong to those constructions. A collector seeking the compact paper edition should not use a found-object listing as an equivalent offer.

Edline poses a second identification problem. The studio’s 2024 round version is a signed 13-colour silkscreen, edition of ten; Heliotrope’s 2020 edition is an unsigned rectangular pigment print, numbered from 250 and embossed with the foundation logo. That earlier edition’s lack of a signature is part of its published specification. Nee Nee, by contrast, explicitly includes Swoon’s signature. There is no artist-wide rule that every Heliotrope print carries the same marks.

Variant letters identify physical differences

Oceanic Heart is a series of fifteen unique, hand-painted variants, A through O, over silkscreen on 330 gsm Coventry Rag. All are eleven inches square, with listed prices of $350–425. Braddock Steel uses a larger 23 × 18-inch format and currently names G, C and K in its selector. The letter, support and hand-work description identify the offered version more precisely than the recurring subject alone.

Cards, gallery prints and gifted risographs

The artist’s Sibylant Sisters deck contains 88 cards made with Shuffled Ink and is listed at $50. Turner Carroll sells separate Oracle Deck art prints: Franklin-Rage, for example, is a 2024 archival digital print on Moab Entrada 300 gsm, 17 × 11 inches, edition of twenty. Buying the card deck does not mean buying that gallery edition.

Caira Art Editions also published Pegasus and The Illuminated Spider Web as four-colour risographs in 2025, each an edition of 200 on five-by-seven-inch sheets. They were gifts for Boston Public Art Triennial attendees and collaborators, a different distribution history from either shop format. Caira’s project account supplies that provenance.

Swoon is Caledonia Curry, a Brooklyn-based printmaker whose portraits extend into papercut installations, sculpture and community projects. Tandem Press and Underdogs provide additional edition-specific routes. This guide covers selected physical releases and their primary sellers, rather than a complete catalogue of the artist’s work.
