Current and recent editions

The Power to the People print launched October 1; current stock at OBEY and the festival store is unconfirmed. Ramones 50th and Hendrix Fire Letterpress are sold out at OBEY. Troubled Waters TT6 is a HENI collaboration with separate signing and application terms.

Collector context

Screenprinting remains central to that practice. The ICA describes his prints as a source of motifs that reappear in later work, including protest symbols, music figures and references to earlier visual styles. Repetition is therefore part of how the work develops. The same image can move between formats while its scale, material, surrounding text or setting changes the viewer’s encounter. In Afrocentric (Power & Equality) and the museum’s wider discussion of his work, the image is an invitation to look again at familiar signs and slogans.

Music is both subject matter and a method of presenting work. The album-cover exhibition sequence moved from Revolutions in Santa Monica to Sound & Vision in London and 50 Shades of Black in Los Angeles. The projects used the record sleeve as a visual framework; the last also included an installation where visitors could choose records to play. That history gives his portraits and concert posters a connection to listening, collecting and DJ culture, beyond the recognition of a famous face.

His printmaking also involves distinct collaborators. Documentation of Harmony & Discord records work at Pace Paper and Watanabe Press in New York in 2011–12. Welcome Visitors identifies a separate collaboration with Bert Green Fine Art and Aardvark Letterpress in Los Angeles. Those credits should travel with the relevant projects: the OBEY identity does not turn every Fairey edition into the product of a single workshop or publication arrangement.

For following releases, OBEY’s news pages and print archive provide artist statements and edition histories, while individual gallery or printer projects add their own context. Release Radar’s present selection covers three 2026 music-related editions, not a complete career catalogue. Reading those works together offers three entry points into the practice: a civic music festival, an album-history tribute and an earlier portrait translated into another printing process.
